TAFE Queensland provides a range of support services for all students as well as additional supports for people with a disability. You might be thinking about TAFE studies whether you are just leaving school, reskilling to return to work or just learning a new skill for enjoyment.
Supports for ALL students:
- Learning support is available for all TAFE Queensland students. Access help for:
- assignments, essay writing and referencing
- study skills and exam preparation
- English and maths
- time management and organisation skills.
- Class support, workshops and tutorials may also be provided at different locations.
- Studiosity is on-demand study help for academic literacy skills and core subject support. Subject specialists are available online to help you with your questions. As soon as you need it, you can log in and be connected live via online chat.
- The Learning Skills Centre is available for certificate, diploma and higher education students at select TAFE Queensland libraries in Greater Brisbane and support can also be offered over-the-phone, via email and using Zoom
- Study Planners – Monthly Planner, Weekly Planner, Weekly Schedule
- Counselling – Our counselling services are available at select campuses and sessions are free and completely confidential. Whether you want an unbiased opinion or just need someone to talk to, our experienced and friendly counsellors are here for you. They are available face-to-face, by phone, and via video conference. We can help you work through:
- deciding the career path that’s right for you
- choosing the right course
- educational and learning difficulties
- time management and study skills
- personal and complex issues
- cross-cultural and special needs
- service referrals for long term support.

AccessAbility:
For students with disability, there is also AccessAbility Support to provide practical assistance, support and advice. The AccessAbility Support team work wtih you to develop an dindividual support plan which might include:
- communicating with teachers on your behalf when required
- providing sign language interpreters, readers, and scribes
- loaning you assistive technology
- coordinating alternative assessment arrangements.
